Greater Life Ministries of Michigan was founded by Pastor Roderick Threets in the year 2022. During a very crucial transitional period in his Ministry, The Lord led him to attend the TD Jakes Leadership Conference in Charlotte, North Carolina in May 2022. While attending this anointed conference he heard the voice of GOD say “I Have Called You to Greater”. 

After returning home, the name Greater Life Ministries was birthed into his Spirit. Pastor Threets contacted the state of Michigan to see if the name was available for use. He was told there were two other Ministries that was using that name in Michigan. But, because of the recent pandemic, they both closed their doors and the name was now available. 
Thank you Jesus..

Pastor Threets then organized a Launch Team for the Ministry. After a time of Prayer and Fasting, the foundational members for Greater Life Ministries was established… Thank God 

While having a conversation with his son, who lives in Atlanta Ga, he gave Pastor Threets a referral for a potential musician for the ministry. But God had another plan and purpose for this call. 

Come to find out, the musician was looking for a Pastor, who was starting a New Ministry, to offer to him a fully equipped, and fully furnished church to help start their Ministry. After, He and our Elder Jerome Davis made one visit to the building, God said yes to Pastor Threets

We immediately signed the papers, and Greater Life Ministries began our services on Sunday, July 3, 2022.

Thru this New Ministry people have been saved, healed, delivered and set free. And the blessings are continuing to flow as the Word of God is being preached without compromise. Souls are being saved, and lives changed by the Power of God!!

Here are a few Highlights of the blessings and accomplishments for the year of 2024-2025

Under their leadership and ministry of Elder Orlando Gregory, our Evangelism and Prison Ministry, held a total of 48 services at Macomb Correctional Prison, and We had our first service at Huron Valley Women’s Prison in 2024

During these services a total of 4,109 prisoners were in attendance, 72 men repented, and gave their lives to Jesus Christ and received Salvation. 28 men were released from prison and this ministry served Communion to 1,143 prisoners. PRAISE GOD. Also in 2024, this ministry started a 16 week mentorship program once a week. Fifteen prisoners graduated, and fifteen different prisoners started in a new class… PRAISE GOD!!

And the work continued in 2025. Thank God!!

Thru our Healing & Deliverance Ministry, people are being healed, delivered, and counseled in the things of God. Thru this ministry We have fed the hungry, provided clothing, and financial assistance to families in need. Thru this Ministry, our church has provided vehicles to 2 of our faithful members…….PRAISE GOD!!

Another new initiative in 2024, our Pastor activated our Health & Wellness Ministry. We had our first Annual Health & Wellness Month, and we were blessed with weekly classes called “A Better You both Spiritually and Naturally”. The classes were as follows:
The Importance of Physical Activity.
Proper Nutrition 
Health Maintenance Strategies 
Mental Health Awareness 
Emotional Balance

Our Outreach & Community Service Ministry began in 2025. We are committed to extend the love of Christ beyond the walls of our church by serving our community and others with compassion, humility, and consistency. We are committed to meeting practical needs, building genuine relationships, and sharing the hope of the Gospel in a personal and meaningful way. Through simple acts of kindness and service, we seek to make a lasting impact—one life, one family, and one connection at a time.

In closing, We at GLM truly believe that God has Called Us to Greatness, as we walk in the fulness of ALL the promises of God, having All Sufficiency in All things. As we to continue to preach and teach The Word of God, our mission is to have a “Greater Life Impact” in the lives of the people we serve, by the creation of several ministries to meet the needs God’s people in EVERY ASPECT of their lives..
